15 March 2007 Travel podcasts 'bring trips alive'

A small group adventure travel specialist has launched a new website featuring weblogs and podcasts.
The new site from Explore links to the company's main portal and features regular input from company writers giving an inside view on the firm and its tours.
A range of data is available on the newly launched site, including audio clips, video footage and images in addition to written information.
Managing director of Explore Ashley Toft said: "We think that the talking book experience offered via podcasts will particularly appeal - it really brings trips alive."
The company adds that the information on the site will make adventure travel more tangible, with the interesting nature of the world being exhibited through pictures, stories and interviews with travellers and staff.
Last September, multi trip travel insurance provider esure.com announced that it was putting its holiday insurance details into an mp3 format for holidaymakers to listen to rather than read.
