23 March 2007 Tourists encouraged to check out golfers' 'paradise'
Northeastern Pennsylvania is being touted as an excellent area of the United States for golfing holidaymakers to explore.
The Pocono Mountains area in particular is packed with golf resorts, meaning if you had annual travel insurance you could choose to visit a number of different, but equally enjoyable, resorts each year.
"Whether golfers are looking to challenge themselves on a classic course by a legendary designer or a modern gem by one of today's top architects, the Pocono Mountains [area] offers all the golf anyone can want," says Robert Uguccioni, executive director of the Pocono Mountains Vacation Bureau (PMVB).
Mr Uguccioni suggests that the resorts in the Pocono Mountains are perfect for mid-week break, although with annual travel insurance you could choose to stay a lot longer, should the golfing bug grab you.
The ambience around the Pocono Mountains is also enjoyable, with a number of other activities available, such as walking, fishing, horseback riding and hunting to keep you coming back.
As the official tourism agency for the Pocono Mountains area, the PMVB aims to promote the area to holidaymakers.
