28 September 2005 Multi-trip insurance for train travel Eurail, a company that offers pan-European rail passes, has revealed that it will provide a new range of single-country rail passes from next year.
Currently, Eurail passes offer train travel across 17 European countries, but only as part of combinations, such as France - Italy, Germany - Denmark and Spain - Portugal.
The new Eurail National Pass programme will enable travellers to buy individual passes for any one of Finland, Greece, Holland, Hungary, Norway, Poland, Romania, Spain or Sweden.
The pass allows for between three and ten travel days, over a period of either one or two months.
With such a flexible way to see different parts of Europe, travellers should make sure that they have adequate annual, multi-trip insurance to cover their adventures on the continent.
Rene de Groot, Eurail's managing director, said: "The Eurail National Pass was created to match the way many of our customers travel today.
"More and more overseas visitors are coming to Europe for shorter periods of time, and this new pass will allow them to comfortably explore one country in depth in one trip."
"As Eurail keeps expanding the choices, Eurail Passes allow travellers to custom tailor their own itineraries with built-in ease and flexibility."
