28 February 2007 Marley-themed resort to open in Bahamas Holidaymakers have been invited by the Marley family to visit a Bob Marley-themed travel resort in the Bahamas.
The Marley Resort & Spa, a new 16 bedroom suite, will be opened by the family in Nassau on June 1st 2007, Easier reports.
Rita Marley is said to have purchased the property, which was once a governor's mansion, after falling in love with it at first sight, with the building being used a summer accommodation by the family.
The resort is located on part of Nassau's Cable Beach and is described as "a microcosm of African and Caribbean style."
The 16 themed suites will each be named after a Marley song title, including Kinky Reggae, Nice Time and Kaya.
Stephanie Marley said: "The Marley Resort & Spa is a place where personalised service and attention to detail is our first priority.
"The vibe elicits the true feeling of rediscovery and relaxation."
A five-star personal concierge service will be provided, available along with 24-hour room service.
Bob Marley, reggae superstar and member of the Rastafari movement, died on May 11th 1981.
