31 March 2006 Insurance boss highlights number of multi-trip travellers
The head of insurance at Tesco has highlighted the fact that there are increasing numbers of people who are taking more than one trip abroad each year and as such recommended multi-trip travel insurance.
Alan Burns, head of insurance at the travel insurance provider, states that "many people are now lucky enough to be able to take more than one holiday abroad each year".
As such, he argues that an annual travel insurance policy will cover people for every trip abroad that they take.
In addition, Mr Burns states that this means consumers who opt for an annual travel insurance or multi-trip travel insurance policy could "save a great deal of money".
Earlier this week another insurance provider said that people could also save money by shopping around for the best travel insurance, specifically ski travel insurance.
He said that it was "vital to compare policies" as they "can vary enormously".
