11 May 2007 Greece 'the place to head for water sports'
Holidaymakers with a love of water sports have been advised to travel to the Greek island of Skyros for a trip taking in sailing, windsurfing and much more besides, with one-to-one customised tuition on offer for both beginners and experts.
Skyros Holidays offers a range of water sports activities and courses on its trips alongside adventures in other fields, from ballroom dancing to abseiling, Easier reports.
The Atsitsa centre run by the firm offers holidays designed for busy 21st century workers looking for adventure and the chance to temporarily get away from their everyday world and become part of a creative and "life-changing" community.
Matthew Collins, of the Travel Show on BBC2, said: "This amazing place has really fascinated me.
"It is the perfect place for a proper holiday."
In November 2006, annual travel insurance provider Saga reported that Greece was the top destination for under-40s looking to find love abroad, with 19 per cent of this age range hopeful of a holiday romance while in the Hellenic Republic.
