Serial travellers on long-haul flights can pass the time on by getting friendly with their fellow passengers, thanks to a new dating service
FriendsOnArrival is a website that offers a free notice board allowing members to enter profiles into the system to find appropriate matches.
The site aims "to provide common ground for people to connect, share experiences, and arrange to meet up".
Frequent flyers can post pictures, biographies and interests to see if other users are around to match their profiles.
The site claims it is particularly popular among frequent flyers who rarely stay in one spot for too long.
It also aims to be more than just a meeting service, since it provides links catering for a diverse range of traveller needs, such as street maps, travel tips and directory enquiries.
Travellers who make numerous trips abroad are urged to take out annual travel insurance as opposed to insurance for short breaks, as this can work out cheaper in the long-term.
